What I Learned from a Beach Commercial

Video Transcript

I just watched this commercial on Instagram today and it’s a little kid talking and he is at the beach (Destin Fort Walton Beach in case you want to know). And he’s talking about how he failed today. He said he fell off the board. He said he didn’t catch a wave. The little kid said they got sand in their mouth two times. But then they also mentioned but they were able to stand up on the board for one second once and then almost two on another time. They also talk about how excited they are to fail again tomorrow. And I just thought that was the coolest thing. Because little kids are loving the adventure. They have curiosity about how the next day is going to go. They’re just excited about the experience. They’re proud of their perseverance. they’re proud of, and hopeful of their chance to have a success the next day. And I just wish that’s how we were about failure and how we could reframe failing or having a bad day. So, I really love this commercial. I want to thank Bo Barrett for letting me talk about it. And also, now I want to go to the beach.
